OLIVE REGIONS IN WA
Olives grow best, and with less disease, in regions with a Mediterranean type climate, which have cool winters with a warm dry summer and autumn. In Western Australia this ideal growing environment extends from the Chapman Valley, Northhampton (29.5ºS) in the Midwest to Albany (34.5ºS) and Esperance in the state's Great Southern.
There are five growing regions in Western Australia, which reflect the existing Natural Resource Management regions.
